TORONTO - SCM Insurance Services is proud to announce that Ross Betteridge has been promoted to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Betteridge, previously serving as the President of SCM subsidiary ClaimsPro, will assume his new role immediately.
Reporting directly to SCM’s CEO Bob Fitzgerald, Mr. Betteridge will have accountability for overseeing the strategic direction of six of SCM’s seven subsidiary operations, including ClaimsPro, Pario, Xpera, RMS, SCM Health Solutions, and IPG. The new COO position was driven by the core belief that SCM can provide enhanced, seamless delivery of valued services to clients through the improved coordination of our offerings with the claims operations of Canada’s insurance industry.
Mr. Betteridge brings tremendous industry experience and a proven track record to SCM. Before joining ClaimsPro in early 2015, he spent four years with Travelers Canada, the nation’s 10th largest home, auto, and business insurer, in a variety of senior roles including Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Shared Services. Before that, Mr. Betteridge spent 10 years with Aviva Canada as a member of the Executive Committee initially in the position of Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and latterly as Chief Operating Officer of a number of Aviva’s subsidiary operations.
