ClaimsPro, Canada’s largest independent claims adjuster, announced today that Fred Plant, ClaimsPro’s Senior Vice President, Atlantic Region, has been named the new President of the Canadian Independent Adjusters Association (CIAA).
The Canadian Independent Adjusters Association has existed for more than 50 years as an industry body established to promote and represent common business interests of licensed independent insurance adjusters within the insurance industry. ClaimsPro recently announced its full membership into the organization, registering all of its adjusters and officially joining on July 20, 2015.
Fred Plant has extensive experience with CIAA, having previously served as its National President from 2007 to 2008. In addition, he served as Regional President for New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, and has chaired CIAA’s Education Committee for that region. Outside of CIAA, Mr. Plant served a one year term as President of The International Institute of Loss Adjusters, having participated on the Executive of that organization for eight years as Treasurer. He has been an active member of a number of industry committees including those serving the Insurance Bureau of Canada and The Canadian Risk Managers Association.
“I am pleased to continue my relationship with CIAA and it is my honour to once again hold this position as President,” states Fred Plant, ClaimsPro’s Senior Vice President, Atlantic Region.
“As ClaimsPro continues to further demonstrate its leadership position in the industry, this appointment reaffirms our commitment to the Canadian Independent Adjusters Association and all of its member adjusters,” states Ross Betteridge, President of ClaimsPro. He continues, “We are pleased to congratulate Fred Plant on his appointment to President of CIAA.”
Mr. Plant officially assumed the role of National President of CIAA on August 19, 2015, following CIAA’s Annual General Meeting.
