Company:ClaimsPro LP - International Programs Group Hybrid - Liability Examiner - Full Time (Anywhere in Canada) Salary range: $67,200.00 - $93,300.00 annually International Programs Group (IPG) is an independent third-party claims administrator which provides claims services for Lloyd’s of London syndicates, domestic insurers, self-insured entities, or organizations with high deductibles or self-insured retention. We have an existing opportunity to add a Liability Examiner to our team! Today, IPG works with Canada’s largest network of independent adjusting firms across the country. Operating out of Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, each IPG office is staffed with specialized senior examiners and qualified desktop examiners. We have regional expertise and are licensed in all Canadian provinces. The successful candidate will work within IPG, a company of opportunity and excitement - we are looking for the right candidate to join us! Attendance to the office a minimum of 1 day per week and as needed for training, client meetings and team meetings is required.
Role Responsibilities: - Act as an examiner for various Lloyds accounts which involves providing prompt, fair, quality claims service to clients.
- Examine complex liability claims.
- Direct Field Adjusters on assignment investigations
- Settle claims directly with claimants or their representatives
- Administer claims payments/settlements through trust accounts
- Liaise with all stakeholders to insure client's needs are met
Qualifications & Experience: While licensing and experience are critical to being able to handle significant examining tasks for a TPA, we are looking for individuals with a demonstrated and proven track record of performance. You will have to be strong technically, a solid planner and organizer, and understand key issues plus provide solid solutions. You will have to be motivated to do this type of work and be excited by the challenges that a rapidly growing organization faces. We will also consider the following: - Your education, with relevant post-secondary education being an asset
- Your completed CIP courses, or working towards CIP designation
- Your ability to hold an independent adjusting license
- Your 5-7 years' experience delivering relevant claims adjusting and/or examining work

In this position, you will investigate, evaluate, manage, and resolve commercial property claims from initial loss through to final settlement, while delivering an exceptional experience to our clients, brokers, and stakeholders. You will also play a key role in developing and maintaining a strong client base across Southwestern Ontario. For the right candidate, this role offers a clear development pathway toward Large Loss and complex claims handling. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and a customer-focused approach, along with a CIP designation and 3 to 5 years of commercial property adjusting experience. Key Responsibilities - Investigate, evaluate, and settle moderate to complex commercial property claims in accordance with policy wordings, company guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze coverage, determine liability, and assess damages related to property losses (e.g., fire, water, wind, theft).
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with insureds, brokers, contractors, engineers, and legal counsel.
- Prepare accurate and thorough claim files, reports, estimates, and settlement documentation.
- Negotiate settlements professionally and within appropriate authority levels.
- Maintain compliance with internal standards, service commitments, and industry best practices.
- Identify subrogation opportunities and potential fraud indicators when applicable.
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced adjusters, as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience handling commercial property claims.
- CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) designation required.
- Strong knowledge of commercial property policy coverage and claims practices.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple claims while meeting deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with claims management systems and estimating tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

Exigences du poste : - Détenant un permis d’expert en sinistre de l’AMF.
- Plus de 5 ans d'expérience en matière d'enquêtes de réclamations d'assurance, enquêtes sur les vols, incendie, couvertures, etc. Une attention particulière sera également accordée aux personnes ayant une expertise significative dans un secteur d'activité en fonction de leur expérience.
- Formation post-secondaire ou équivalence en formation
- Connaissance de l'informatique et capacité d'apprendre de nouveaux programmes

ClaimsPro/IndemniPro's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is made up of Claims Adjusters trained in modern investigation methods who can handle complex and sensitive investigations in personal and commercial lines insurance. Our Claims Adjusters are mobile throughout the province and can gather all types of defensible and presentable evidence if claims cases go to court. The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) handles cases involving major fire losses, illegal activities such as drugs, money laundering and fronting, and theft of equipment and recreational vehicles. Role Requirements: - Must hold an AMF-certified claims adjuster license.
