International Programs Group (IPG) is an independent third-party claims administrator which provides claims services for Lloyd’s of London syndicates, domestic insurers, self-insured entities, or organizations with high deductibles or self-insured retention. We are currently seeking a Liability Examiner.
Today, IPG works with Canada’s largest network of independent adjusting firms across the country. Operating out of Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, each IPG office is staffed with specialized senior examiners and qualified desktop examiners. We have regional expertise and are licensed in all Canadian provinces. The successful candidate will work within IPG, a company of opportunity and excitement - we are looking for the right candidate to join us!
This role is a remote, work from home opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Examine complex auto liability claims
- Review and handle liability claims including both third party injury and third party property damage within contract terms and conditions
- Prepare and report to Underwriters for claims exceeding contract terms and conditions
- Handle litigated claims with focus to maintain reasonable costs and conclude where able, within terms of contract
- Attend mediations where required (including travel if necessary)
- Maintain all files within guidelines and standards
- Settle claims directly with claimants or their representatives
- Administer claims payments/settlements through trust accounts
- Liaise with all stakeholders to insure client's needs are met
Education, Knowledge And Experience Required:
- College diploma or combination of education and equivalent business
- CIP designation an asset
- Minimum of 5 – 7 years of claims experience in handling of auto liability claims
- Experience dealing with Lloyds and/or CGL an asset

Role Summary:
The Bilingual Claims Service Representative will provide immediate and customer-focused assistance to policyholders who are calling to report insurance claims. They will document initial loss details and activities to ensure that callers experience timely and service oriented disposition of calls. They will also make a determination based on protocol if immediate adjuster attention is required and coordinate with vendors as required.
* Please note that this position requires shift work on a rotating basis between the hours of 7am to 12am - (Sunday to Saturday). * Shifts will be: 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm, 11am-7pm, 12pm-8pm, 4pm-12am based on business needs. (Weekend shifts will be mandatory) *Only candidates fully bilingual in French and English will be considered *This is a full-time opportunity, and will require 37.5 hours of work per week. - Review ECS call report and ensure call has terminated properly and forward accurate and complete call reports as required.

- Maintain data base of service lapses reference for root cause, report trends and make recommendations to management
- Review claim information to determine proper next steps for processing against client guidelines/ service agreements
Education, Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Post secondary education
- Minimum 1 year administrative experience
- Knowledge of insurance/service industry or related experience preferred
- Strong computer and telephone skills with an aptitude/ability to learn

- Completion of high school education; University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance will be given preference.
- Must have obtained or qualified to obtain at least Level 1 license in ONTARIO.
- Ongoing commitment to education and learning, preferably pursuing CIP designation.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive).
Experience:
- Prior experience in desktop or field claims adjusting, preferably in casualty.
- Equivalency in combination of education and experience will be considered.

Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance
- Bilingualism would be preferred
- Experience with Municipality Claims is an Asset
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Equivalency in combination of education and experience will be considered.
